The pictorial mastery of Vahram Hovakimyan encompasses a number of media and modes of expression. In his graphics, Vahram Hovakimyan's dexterity of line flows into linear-based imagery, human and other forms and sometimes their settings. The unfurlment of the artist's line follows the rhythms of Nature, growth, expansion and revelation, skillfully measured and cadenced; while his sculpture is created in several dimensions and exists on multiple planes with both immediate and transcendent overtones.

Vahram Hovakimyan’s artistic vision is, at once, direct and nuanced, implicit and suggestive. Though the artist's conception is substantialized, viewers can interpret and elaborate from their own impressions. This artistic production is motivated from personal, national and universal inspirations, historical and legendary themes and spontaneous incentives. It is remarkable for its superb artistry and realization of openness to sharing the artist's external experiences and intuitive perceptions with the viewer.

Vahram Hovakimyan has shown in his work that he is a great exponent of the courageous, indomitable Armenian spirit, as well as an artist of a powerfully evocative oeuvre, deep conviction and subtle insights.
